The space roller is also scheduled for Nebraska this year for those lucky fair goers.

Saw the Space Roller in Columbia one year, outstanding ride, but I don't think Jeremy owned it at that time, it was that other fellow.

Kissel's not having a good time with 5 rides getting shut down by inspectors.

Am I right to guess that the Crazy Mouse is SJ Entertainment/Vander Vorste's and the Toboggan Skerbeck's?

It's not Kissel's spot nor do they own all of the 5 that are down.

Just guessing it is the Toboggan that played the North Dakota fair up until this year.

Is Vander Vorste (Vandervorst?), Butch's boy (is it Jake?) or is he still working?

Ride the Zipper?

I like Kissel, feel bad for them and although I only saw one wheel (Astro) last year it looked like a new ride, didn't see the Diver.

For me personally I would get on any of Kissel's rides without second thought.

Didn't say it was their spot; they were obviously booked in (along with a bunch of others). The later was just based on the news stories that came out afterwards, so if I'm wrong, feel free to set the record straight.

Went on Saturday and sure enough, the Mouse is SJ Entertainment and the Toboggan Skerbeck based on the tags. Similar to WI State Fair in that if you get a wristband, you're also provided tickets to give to operators so everyone can divy up the take.

So, that confused me a little, never seen that, if they get an armband they still get tickets to give to the ride jock? How many tickets do they give a person that buys an armband.

Not fussing here, sorry just trying to understand how that works.

You get a lot of tickets- 30 or so, with each ride being one ticket each with a band. If you run out of tickets, you get more from a ticket booth for free. Just show the wristband.

Ah ok, understand now, interesting way of doing it, haven't ever saw that around here although I have seen an "upcharge" for some rides like the Turbo/G Force on Playworld, if you had an armband you had to also pay I think 3 extra tickets.

On the Forgotten Carnival Rides site someone mentioned that the Sky Diver Kissel has came from Strates Shows... Is that true?

If so, I thought i read that Strates bought the last Sky Diver Chance made... Middle 80's perhaps. So, this diver is not that old and has corrosion while other older ones are ok???

Don't know for sure if the Kissel Diver was Strates but Strates got theirs in 1988.
