New Ride Operators in 2005 (*) = 2
New Rides in 2005 (**) = 7 (3 Midway/4 Kidway)

Even though the numbers talley up to 1 less ride than last year, it seems like there might be some space left on the midways. It is a shame that the midways seems to be pretty much the same as last years. Here is a list of the rides no longer on the midway, and/or rides that have been replaced with a similar ride by a different owner from 2004:

Aries Entertainment Systems Ltd. - SR-2 Simulators *NO LONGER FEATURED*

Astro Amusements (now NAME) - Mega Drop Free Fall Tower *Replaced by Playworld Unlimited's Super Shot*

Farrow Amusement Co. - Century Wheel *Replaced by Jon Luehrs' Spectacular Attractions Inc's Centrury Wheel*

Farrow Amusement Co. - Larson Fireball *NO LONGER FEATURED*

Farrow Amusement Co. - Flume *Replaced by W.G. Wade Shows' Flume*

Gold Star Amusements - Copter Command (KW), Power Surger, Berry-go-Round (KW) *NO LONGER FEATURED*

R&R Rides - Hop-A-Round (KW) *NO LONGER FEATURED*

Tinsley Amusements, Inc. - Ali Baba *NO LONGER FEATURED (replaced by Teo Zacchini's Moby Dick?)*

That sum's it up. It isn't much of an improvement over last year, but it is still a lot better than a lot of fairs, so I shouldn't complain. We got one new super-spectacular from Europe this year, so I will be happy :)

Looks like a fantastic ride line up to me, one that many, many fairs would be thrilled with. If your not happy with it, and wish for something else, be careful what you wish for.

Skywheelrider.... I know, and I agree 100% I really have no reason to complain I was just a little let down... I'm sure I will be more than thrilled once it is actually going. I will probably buy close to $100 in ride tickets anyways Big Smile

Also, will you be in town for the MNSF, since wade is making an appearance. Do you know if Wade's flume getting the spot and not Farrows has anything to do with what happened during set up last year with that ride?

Also, Daniel, this is at the end of August, I just got the list today from a fair employee (it was all on the level, he was the one who answered my email to them a few years ago, and I've asked every year since) Smile

Does Tinsley not own the Ali Baba anymore?? I've heard they've sold some stuff, not sure what all though.

My observations in the past few years have been that there was no way Ali Baba made a dime. It seemed like most of the time, the ride wasn't even open, and wouldn't have given you a ride even if you wanted one. Is there a reason for this that I missed somewhere?

Not a bad lineup at all. 3 Mondial rides, the only Fabbri Eclipse on the road in the US, one of the nicest (if not THE nicest) Sky Wheels out there, several other European spectaculars, 2 coasters and a flume. Lots of fairs would give their eye teeth for that lineup...Big SmileBig SmileBig Smile

Yeah, not to mention biggest ride run by an MCW member. Big Smile Fighter should take the space of at least 2 rides, so that would explain the lowered total ride count number. Wink

No, I will not be there. I wish, because the Minnesota State Fair is on my wish list of state fairs to visit. Maybe another time. I will be in Missouri during that time.
