Galaxy Amusement Sales is a specialty distributor of industry-leading electrical, lighting, LED, sound, special effects, paint and ride parts. The company is located in Tampa, Florida, and boasts three generations of staff members who have a combined total of more than 60 years of experience in the amusement business.
A large part of Galaxy's business has revolved around custom LED-lit signs, which can be suited to any application large to small. From giving some extra punch to a concession sign to putting your logo in bright lights and even making a Giant Wheel's lights an attraction in and of itself, Galaxy is the one stop shop for everything lighting. The signs can be constructed as back-lit with LED lights on the outside, or non back-lit with LED lights on the front.
Galaxy President Scott Kunz says that the company will introduce four new product lines from Camaleon LED – which offers some of the most state-of-the art amusement lighting presently available – at the upcoming Gibtown Trade Show. First on the list will be an LED module with an easy to replace plug-in Circuit Board. Each unit is assigned a number, from 1 to 16 or 1 to 48.
“They are pre-programmed with over three to six minutes, depending on the program, of different chase patterns and lighting sequences,” says Kunz. “Our two-wire system operates on 24 vac and requires no controller.” The improvements make the lights a money saving investment as well as even simpler than ever to use.
He adds that the company is also excited to debut a new three-wire programmable pixel model that can be custom programmed and operated via a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth-enabled controller; as well as new versions of portable LED light towers. These come as standard hydraulic, standard hydraulic with shade attachments and an economy light tower without hydraulics.
Additionally, he says that Camaleon is also rolling out new custom LED signage that includes a new outdoor LED video module that can be configured into custom configurations.
Galaxy will also be introducing a new 12 foot by 12 foot truss assembly construction package that stands at a height of over 20 feet tall and includes three 10 foot by 10 foot banners, bally cloths, a back wall and an integrated tent top. The truss stands are all the rage in the concession business and Galaxy once again is in the forefront of turnkey solutions for the concessionaire.
With their extensive ride experience, Galaxy is venturing out beyond just lighting and equipment into the replacement parts sphere. “We're introducing our new wide assortment of ride wheels for all standard rides that we stock in house” says Kunz. “We can also duplicate and re-tread your existing wheels with a short turnaround. If you are searching for a partner in your company's success, Galaxy Amusement Sales is ready to get to work.”
Once the new kid on the block, Kunz says that Galaxy Amusement Sales has been a front-line supplier to the outdoor amusement industry for 30 years, continually searching for the latest and greatest technologies and bringing them into the amusement industry.
“Galaxy has partnered with the industry-leading manufacturers to meet and even surpass the needs of our customers,” he shares. “We cannot be matched when it comes to experience, expertise, quality and customer service. Galaxy Amusement Sales is your one-stop shopping point for your time critical needs,” he continues. “Our products include a wide selection of items for markets such as carnivals, amusement parks, stage and lighting, rental companies, convention centers, fairgrounds, FECs, and power distribution providers.”
The company carries a large inventory, features same-day shipping and factory direct pricing.
